2 ways to get a BAUM. How?

First and foremost a huge thank you for your interest in our work, but how do you get your hands on one?

There are two ways to order a Baum guitar. You can build your desired Baum guitar with our custom shop module on every guitar page, or you can send us an email. Read more below.

How do I order?

There are two ways to order a handcrafted Baum Guitar. Build your own or design it with us. Both scenarios includes the personal communication, as we believe this is the key to building your custom shop Baum.

First, you can create your Baum guitar with the custom shop builder found on every guitar page. When you have created the right combination of model, color, hardware etc., click ‘Order now’ and fill out the blanks in the formula. We will then receive your specifications and create a digital mock up and send it back to you. When you have confirmed the specifications, it is time to pay the deposit and we can begin to work on your guitar.

If you cannot find the combination for you, send us an email and we will create your custom shop Baum together. Here you should provide all the information you need to order a Handcrafted Baum Guitar. If not, please feel free to contact us with your questions. Through learning about who you are as a player, we can create the right guitar for you.

How do I pay?

Once the order confirmation has been confirmed by you, we will send a PayPal request of 50% of the full amount as a deposit.
Once the deposit is paid, we start the construction process. Since all Baum guitars are custom unique orders, each guitar is built from scratch based on your choices. Therefore, the 50% deposit can not be refunded if the customer later in the process regrets or rejects the order.

Once the order is completed and your custom Baum guitar is complete, you will receive an email with pictures and a PayPal request for the balance before shipment. When the last 50% is paid, we will send the guitar to you.

Failure to complete the final payment within 30 days will be considered as cancellation.

How long will it take?

It takes a minimum of 12 weeks to build a Baum Guitar from the payment of the deposit until the guitar is ready for dispatch. This is a process that cannot be accelerated, because it takes time to choose the wood, process it, and the process of lacquering take its time for a perfect coating. Before the guitar is complete, it will receive a very careful adjustment and setup to give the guitar the perfect playability.
We might take some pictures or videos during the process for our website or social media profiles.

What about the CITES regulations?

We use Rosewood and Bubinga in our guitar production, but only in small quantities. All wood varieties are legally acquired. When an order is confirmed, we begin to apply for CITES import documents of the guitar to your country. It takes about 3 months to get a CITES application approved by the Danish Environment Department. On the application, your full name and address will be given. It is important if you move address in the meantime that we will get it informed and modified on the application as soon as possible, because this might delay the application a bit.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, you can cancel the order and not pay the residual. However, you cannot get your deposit (50 percent of the total price) back, because it is used for production hours, the purchase of materials and hardware. The deposit is our economical safety net. Because we build customized instruments to each’s desire, we risk a loss, if we end up with a cancelled model, that cannot be sold – again.

If you regret the purchase within 7 days of receiving the guitar, the guitar can be returned with a safe, tracked and insured shipment method to us at your own expense. Once the guitar is received in good condition, we will refund the 40% of the total cost of the guitar. The shipping cost and deposit cannot be refunded.
